What began as a simple curiosity about the Hudson Valley’s natural bounty has grown into a small-batch syrup operation. Come late winter, as the thaw sets in, you’ll find Jarren Vink winding his way through the sugarbush at Vink Farm, collecting sap and stoking wood-fired boils deep into the night. When the sap stops flowing, Jarren trades the woods for the studio, where he works behind the lens—crafting images and directing shoots for commercial clients.
